Oh, where to begin?
PostSurfeit Records isn’t anything crazy. What became PostSurfeit started because when you upload songs to Spotify you can choose a label name. I spent a while going over and over in my head what would make a good label name because I think the long string of numbers they give you is fucking stupid looking. It hit me one day when I was listening to Bad Religion’s album Suffer. There was a word I didn’t know in “How much is Enough?” so I looked it up. Once I knew what the word “Surfeit” meant I threw “Post” in front of it because I think its got a good ring to it. What does it mean? I don’t really know its open for interpretation but it’s gotta mean something, right? I think of it as an apocalyptic kinda word. “after the abundance” or whatever. Anyway, I absolutely love to get ahead of myself, so I came up with crazy ideas about what all could be done as a label. So now we’re working with bands to get their music recorded and released into your dirty paws as authentically as possible, meaning no fucking programmed drums. Oh, and we do like merch and have a whole radio thing too.
